How Does Emotions and Feelings Effect Our Lives?

Our emotions and feelings in our everyday lives play an extraordinary role. Although they are connected, they are different, respectively. Emotions are brought about by a sensation in the body. In addition to that, your brain sends signals that create feelings.

For instance, if you were cooking and touch the handle of a hot pot with your hand, the emotion would be surprise with a verbal response of ouch or…
Therefore, the feeling would be displeasure and hurt.
Understanding and the Connection
Over the course of time, there have been many studies done in regards to how emotions and feelings are connected. During my research, I found the following informational facts to help explain the difference.
Emotion(s): a conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body. (referenced from Merriam Webster Dictionary)
Feeling(s): in psychology, the perception of events within the body, closely related to emotion. (referenced from Britannica)
Five Types of Emotions and Feelings

Types of Feelings:
• Isolation
• Hunger
• Pain
• Irritated
• Confused

Types of Emotions:
• Happiness
• Sadness
• Fear
• Anger
• Surprise
In fact, there are many more emotions and feelings that can play a role in your life. Keep in mind, emotions and feelings are very complicated. If you feel you can not manage them. Make sure you speak with someone or a professional counselor.
Positive Effects

One of the most fundamental aspects of emotions and feelings is their ability to motivate us.
When we experience positive emotions like joy or excitement, we are more likely to engage in behaviors that bring us pleasure and fulfillment.
For example, if we feel happy and content, we may be more inclined to spend time with loved ones, pursue hobbies or interests, or take on new challenges.
Negative Effects

On the other hand, negative emotions like jealousy, anger, and resentment can strain our relationships with others and cause conflict and tension. When we experience these emotions, we may be more likely to engage in behaviors that are hurtful or damaging to others, such as lashing out in anger or spreading rumors and gossip.
My Story of Keeping Positive in Life
One of the ways I keep positivity in my life is by starting my day by going outside and sitting on my front porch. I can hear the birds sing songs of joy and happiness. The squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits are scurrying around finding food and nuts to take their little ones at their nests. The butterflies so gracefully floating through air.

the trees seem to sway dance in the light breeze of the morning while the flowers are opening to reach up to the new days light. At times, it seems like I am not able to contain my feelings because it fills my heart with such happiness.
This is when, I have to give gratitude to God and the universe for allowing me the pleasure to enjoy such magnificent wonders to twinkle my soul.
Another way is when I create writing about my positive thoughts and feelings. It gives me such delight to be able to share them with others on Facebook and Instagram.
