Today, I am going to discuss positivity in one's life. It affects every one of us in so many aspects of our lives. It starts from when we get up in the morning to when we go to bed at night.

Some of the best ways to start your day are with a positive attitude and a sense of gratitude for the life you have. No matter what your circumstances are currently.

Does Positivity Really Effect Our Lives?

For the longest time, I did not

understand why my mother

would spend so much time in her room each morning. She would remain there before getting dressed and having her first cup of coffee.

One day, when I was a teenager, I asked her, "Mom, what are you doing?"

She replied to me, "Sweetie, I'm grateful and thankful to God for allowing me another day on this earth. I need to make my bed, to start my day in a positive orderly manner."

Meanwhile, I just stood there so confused.

Trying to Understand Why?

She explained to me, if you start your day in a positive manner, the rest of the day will usually follow the same path. Also, if you keep your surroundings positive and orderly, it will be easier to manage your life each day.

Seeing my mother's positive attitude of being happy and smiling without doubt, I knew she was enjoying her life.

Unfavorable Negative Attitude

Coffee splashes from a white mug on a wooden table. A jar of coffee beans and cookies on a plate are in the background; warm, chaotic vibe.

However, if you wake up with a negative attitude, it is possible to set yourself up for negative thinking episodes throughout the day. There is a greater likelihood that you will be irritated by the simplest unfavorable things, which will trigger negative reactions.

Let us say you are getting ready for work, you made a cup of coffee, and it spills over. There is the possibility that you could negative self-talk yourself by saying, " I am so clumsy that I spilled my coffee; I am now going to be late for work."

What Could Have Been Said Differently?

Positive Affirmations

It is essential to remind yourself throughout the day with affirmations.

"Positive Thinking Affirmations" will create new ways to think positively in your life. Hence, you will be able to have a healthier lifestyle.

You are:

  • Grateful and Appreciative

  • An Important Person

  • Kind and Loving

  • Friendly and likes to Smile

  • Honest and Reliable

Always remind yourself that you are motivated by the goal of having positivity in your life. Therefore, you have the potential to do anything you set your mind to do.

Bedtime Positivity Routines

Also, remember that bedtime routines are important too. Thus, you will need to create a positive thinking routine so you can get a better and healthy bedtime sleep. Essentially, it is important to have the same routine each time you are ready to sleep. Therefore, it will trigger your brain to relax and start the sleep process.

Here are some tips...

  • Pull your covers back an hour before

bedtime and put on relaxing and comfortable bedtime clothes, if you wear them.

  • Make quiet time for yourself by watching something calming on TV or reading something positive and relaxing.

  • At bedtime, be thankful for all the positive things throughout your day and grateful for all you have in your inner circle.

  • After you get in bed, close your eyes, feel the warm and comforting positivity in your life, and enjoy your bedtime sleep...

"You should always remember that the challenges are the ones that actually make your life even more interesting and when you actually start overcoming these challenges, it is then that it makes your life furthermore meaningful."
